Folio 77: MacKenzie to Townshend. Continuing f.75 it seems that the Czar came to his own conclusions about malversations and said that enquiries would be instigated unless they admitted they had not actually designed to go to war and dethrone him. Sunday I delivered the letter from HM to the Czar about his entry to London. Told him HM would wish to improve their ties of friendship now that HM has entered London and this seemed to please him. Dated St Petersburg, 6 Dec 1714.
