Folio 275: Whitworth to St. John. Unsatisfactory reply from Russians about English merchants and treaty of commerce. Renewed persecution of English merchants by Russians at Archangel. Foreign correspondents to await Czar in Danzig, Königsberg or Berlin. Ratification of treaty with Turks. Wedding of Prince Dolgoruki and another held in old style. Swedish troop movements. PS.: Described unexpected visit by Czar and conversation about merchants. Likely motives of Czar. Dated Petersburg, 8/19 June 1712.
