Description

Folio 130: Whitworth to Boyle. Encloses copy of letter about recall of Russian noblemen. Reports of success of Muscovite army against Swedes near Oposhnya. Request by Czar to Turkish port for passage of warships through the Hellespont. Uncertainty about movements of King Augustus [of Poland]. Reported murder of Mr. Martins and others in Lithuania. Dated Moscow, 18/29 May 1709.
