On one side: Draft petition [from dean and chapter of Salisbury] to [Parliament], concerning body and clothing of John Waltham, late bishop of Salisbury, left by him to cathedral, but, seized by Westminster Abbey with the aid of William de Scrope, late earl of Wiltshire. cf. S.C.8/7050 (for final text of petition); Cal. Pat. Rolls 1399-1401, p. 82 (commission). On other side: Draft inspeximus of charter of 19 Edward II to abbot of Cerne granting him view of frank pledge in Cerne.
