Description

This series mainly consists of returns by sheriffs to writs (often still attached) relating to the collection of the revenues of first fruits and tenths during the Interregnum.

Two groups of returns relate to enquiries into the incumbents of benefices in 1651 and 1652. There are also returns relating to enquiries into arrears of tenths in 1657 and 1658.
