British New York Vice-Admiralty Court: list of condemnations in prize causes and fees paid. Sent from New York.
As the columns have no headers, the meaning is unclear. However, the same format is used in HCA 49/92/11, where the columns are marked, left to right, thus:-
- [1] title of cause;
- [2] when condemned;
- [3] fees of condemnation, by whom paid;
- [4] decree made out and delivered;
- [5] fees of decree and by whom paid.
Payments are not recorded after 1 March 1779. Before that column [3] contains either £17 16s 6d, or £26 13s 3d, and column [5] records payments of £3 4s 8d.
Folios 658-697:-
- ff 660-662: 1778 Dec 9-31;
- ff 662-680: 1779 Jan 8-Oct 27;
- ff 681-697 are blank.
