Wilmington. Cornwallis to Phillips. His position distressing; the enemy have poured into S. Carolina and British posts there are in danger; Cornwallis will march towards Hillsborough, in hopes of distracting Greene, or else joining with Phillips, whom hehopes to meet near Petersburg. Apparently the enclosure referred to in PRO 30/11/76/53.
