Description

Portsmouth, Virginia. Notes Clinton's disapproval of his march from Cross Creek to Wilmington to Petersburg, defends it; sums up affair of Rawdon, Greene, fall of Camden, justifies his own moves; remarks that Clinton seems more impressed than before by the force of Virginia.
