Description

Suffolk. Hears from Portsmouth that the expedition is almost ready to sail; Leslie has full powers; Cornwallis gives particulars of troops; reports his sending Tarleton to destroy rebel magazines between James and Dan, and Dundas to destroy shipping and stores at South Quay; various details of organization and personnel, use of victuallers and transports; Greene has been repulsed at Ninety-Six.
