Captured ship: Attempt (master Tobias Davis).
Nationality: American.
History: bound from Salem, Massachusetts to Martinique, laden with claret, fish, Madras handkerchiefs, whale oil, sweet oil, candles, corn etc; taken on 12 September 1806 by HMS Morne Fortunee (John Brown commanding), and brought into Barbados.
