Manuscript prize appeal No 30, from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Nova Scotia, filed in 1807-1808.
Captured ship: Aurora (master Hamlet Fairchild).
Nationality: American.
History: bound from Havana to New York, laden with sugar, logwood and 'segars' [cigars]; taken on 25 April 1806 by HMS Leander (Henry Whitby commanding) in sight of HMS Cambrian (John Nairin commanding) and HMS Driver (Robert Simpson commanding), and brought into Halifax.
