Description

This series consists of ledgers, journals of transactions, and dividend books relating to funds deposited in court by suitors in equity and revenue causes and matters in the Exchequer, kept by the Deputy King's Remembrancer to 1820 and thereafter by the Accountant-General and the Clerk of the Reports. From 1820 the money was deposited at the Bank of England. Some of the later accounts relate to railway companies and similar undertakings.
