This series contains books which record the issue of notice to defendants in revenue actions of the date of jury trial. Notice of trial for causes within a 60 mile radius of London was to be at least 10 days in Michaelmas and Easter term, and eight days in Hilary and Trinity; beyond that radius it was to be 14 and 10 days respectively.
The books record the names of the plaintiff and defendant, and the grounds of the action. Any subsequent countermand of the notice is inserted under the original entry. The books are all for the Middlesex sessions.
