This series continues the series of entry books of orders in equity and revenue causes heard on the King's Remembrancer's side of the Exchequer found in E 125
All entries are dated and titled with the names of the parties to the suit. Many also indicate whether the action was commenced by English bill, or consequent upon a writ of extent. Each entry is followed by the name or initials of the sworn clerk acting for the party on whose behalf the order was made. Some entry books name also the clerk acting for the opposing party. The name of the counsel on whose motion the order was made is given in the body of the text.

- Original indexes survive from 1671 in IND 1/16860-16861, 16867-16891. The indexes refer to the files of original orders rather than the entry books. Before 1689, to find an order the entry books must be searched speculatively within the relevant term. From 1689 both original orders and entries of orders share a common numerical sequence, in which each order within the term carries a unique reference number: this number is entered in the index. The indexes give the surnames of the first named plaintiff and defendant. From 1805 the indexes are alphabetically arranged; before then, they are in numerical sequence within the term, in a random alphabetical arrangement. There are no indexes for the periods 1661-1671, 1680-1686.
