Folio 17: Tsar Mikhail to Charles I. Reception of the English envoy Richard Swift and the agent Fabian Smith, whose affairs have been referred to a committee of boyars and officials. Changes in the list of English merchants authorised to trade in Russia and in thecharter of trade privileges. Additional quarters for the English in Moscow. No agreement possible on the trade in Persian raw silk. The services of Dr Arthur Dee are appreciated and well rewarded.
