The documents in this series are principally bonds given by accountants at the Exchequer upon appointment to office; bonds by lessees of Crown lands for payment of rent and other dues; and bonds between third parties assigned by the creditor in such agreements to the Crown in discharge of his own debt to the Crown.
The series also includes bonds subsidiary to procedure on informations, and some excise and auction bonds.
