Folio 284: Comte de Villio to the King of Poland. Extract of letter, regarding reports that Cardinal Alberoni has ordered an Irishman in Sweden to bring about a peace between the Swedish ministers and the Czar. De Villio feels the King of Prussia and the Emperor will do all they can to stop the peace until they have forced the Spanish to make theirs. Speculation on Cardinal Alberoni's attitude to his campaign, events in the North and in Italy, and the possible invasion by the French. From Venice
