Folio 260: Cardinal Alberoni to the Marquis Beretti Landi. Translation of a secret letter replying to a previous letter regarding a discussion Beretti Landi had with Colster, who gave assurances of the friendship of the States General, and the need for the Republicand Spain to preserve friendship. Court, including the correspondent, were about to leave Madrid; Colster allowed to stay and requested to send the further commissions of his masters as they were received. The correspondent has not received any news. The king continues as before, to accept propositions when reasonable. From Tudela
