Folio 220: Postscript to SP 90/8 f.216. Overtures made by Ilgen on the propositions of Tolstoy, who pressed that the King of Prussia be comprised in the present alliance, indicating that the Czar was prepared to make many concessions, including refraining from further communication with Spain or the Pretender. The Czar would regard a treaty with Prussia without him as a breach of friendship. Whitworth's replies to Ilgen. Ilgen's unwillingness to press his own opinions as the king's own; his speculation on the king's likely decision and opinions. Ilgen promotes the signing of a general treaty including the Muscovites with a secret treaty between England and Prussia; but overture rejected. Ilgen and Whitworth's conclusions. Tolstoy gives the Prussians a copy of treaty made in Vienna, communicated by King George to the Czar. Ilgen's account to Whitworth of his dealings with Tolstoy.
