Folio 102: Stanhope to Whitworth. Private. Stanhope hopes that Rothembourg's support will stop the intrigues of Count Mark. Instructions regarding Whitworth's presentation to the Prussians of aspects of the treaty between the King as Elector, the Emperor, and the King of Poland. Adjustments King George is willing to make to the treaty to avoid trouble with Prussia. Exhortation that Whitworth should not allow the Prussians to miss the opportunity of securing the Guarantee of England and Hanover. Advice of arguments to help convince the Prussians. Speculation of possible events in the negotiation of the treaty. Alteration of an article in the treaty; instructions to Whitworth to leave Prussia should the Prussians fail to accept it.
