Folio 80: Whitworth to Craggs. A copy of a letter to Stanhope. Acknowledgement of request for copies of despatches to be sent for the Lords Justices in the King's absence. Various opinions on attitude of Prussian king and court to Whitworth's negotiations. Arrivalin Berlin of General Kirchbach from Sweden, bearing the Prussian order of the Black Eagle formerly worn by Görtz. Kirchbach seems likely to retire to the country, but rumours exist that the has made protestations of the Queen's desire for peace. Other ministers have gone to other courts: Whitworth feels they are to sound out opinion in the several courts, but that Kirchbach has not made a good impression. Anruhe has been soliciting the King of Prussia for intercession with the King of Poland on behalf of the Protestant churches. Anruhe shortly to go to Hanover on similar mission. Rumours of Prussia's intended use of Anruhe for their own ends. Arrival of General Rank from Cassel, and his audience with the King. King's departure for Schwedt to review the military in various regions. Whitworth's audience with the Queen. Copy of the relation sent to Stanhope. From Berlin
