Folio 61: Raby to [Hedges]. Finances. Stepney's divulgence of information has irritated Prussia, but Frederick I is gratified about Neuchâtel. Frederick's pretensions to the title of Orange. Swedish-Prussian relations influenced by developments in Poland and resolutions of the Diet of Lublin; proposed Swedish-Prussian treaty would be defensive only, but would still hinder peace in Poland. Repercussions of such a treaty: loss of Saxon troops; Swedish-Danish enmity might be aggravated; Danish-Hanoverian treaty would be more likely, and settlement of King/Elector titular dispute. Denmark will not make a treaty with Prussia before Swedish-Prussian treaty is settled. Apprehension about Danish- Wolfenbüttel treaty unfounded. Mourning for Prince Christian. Difficulty of obtaining information. From Berlin
