Description

This series combines two groups of records of the Prothonotary of the Court of Pleas at Durham: declarations in ejectment and other pleadings, and draft judgments. Typical cases concern debt, trespass or injury. There are some early gaps in the series dating from the reigns of Charles I and Charles II.

Arrangement

Arrangement is chronological. The documents have been given individual numbers which run consecutively from pieces 2-5, 6-11 and 12-17. Thereafter the foliation is distinct for each piece.
