Description

This series contains affidavits of the execution of articles of clerkship, filed under the Continuance of laws, etc Act 1748, and of due service of the same, for those admitted to practise as attorneys in the Court of Pleas at Durham. Also contains some affidavits of service of the same in respect of those clerks later admitted to practise as attorneys in the Court of Pleas at Durham. These certificates were taken out in respect of duties payable under the Stamps Act 1785.
