A comparison of the costs of stabilising gun cotton by the following methods. 1) normal four boil process as operated in ROF's. 2) 6 hour pre-pulp boil followed by 6 hour post-pulp boil. 3) 6 hour pre-pulp boil followed by 80% aqueous acetane treatment. 4) 6 hour pre-pulp boil followed by 80% aqueous ethyl alcohol treatment.
