Description

This series contains material previously held by the Civil Aviation Authority Library, much of which was inherited from its predecessors, including the Air Registration Board and the Air Ministry.

The material concerns aircraft and engines specifications, instrumentation, aircraft inspections, airworthiness, survey flights and air traffic control operations. The series also contains many records of 'first flights'; outward and return diaries of journeys to new aerodromes in worldwide locations.
