Flying Fortresses arrive in Cyprus in June (ASI 345). On 12 June HQ Western Sector, Libya, warns that sabotage attacks are to be expected at night on 9 Libyan airfields, carried out by paratroops and long-range motorised troops (ASI 496). Reinforcements for the Italian Air Force units based at Stalino, USSR, were requested in April, to compensate for the transfer of German Air Force units based there to another operational sector (ASI 853)
