Description

Short Title: Raikes v Hall.

Plaintiff(s): (i) Thomas Raikes and Robert Raikes on behalf of themselves and other executors of Edward Ombler; (ii) Thomas Raikes, Robert Raikes.

Defendant(s): (i) Samuel Hall (since deceased), and others; (ii) Margaret Hall, Caroline Hall.

Depositions for: Plaintiffs.

Subject of Depositions: Value and disposition of the freehold, copyhold, leasehold and personal estate and effects of the testator Edward Ombler; said estate including the freehold manor or reputed manor of Ryhill and Camerton in Holderness, Yorkshire, a freehold mansion house situated at Camerton and Thornaumbald in Holderness in the East Riding of Yorkshire, in the occupation of Jonathan Michinson, a freehold farmhouse in the occupation of Edward Matthews, a cottage in Thornaumbald and Camerton in the occupation of John Armstrong, a farm in Ryhill in Holderness in the occupation of Samuel Holmes, a piece of land at Ryhill in the occupation of James Green, two cottages in Ryhill, freehold tithes and a modus on lands at Saltash, Yorkshire, let to Ricahrd Fowler, a freehold warehoouse at Paghill otherwise Paull in Holderness, part of said estates at Ryhill and Camerton is subject to a mortgage now vested in Marmaduke Thomas Prickett of Kingston upon Hull, esq, as executor and heir at law of Josiah Prickett, esq, who survived Thomas Thompson and Sion Horner, esqs, part of said estates at Thorngumbald is subject to the payment of an annuity of £200 by way of jointure to Elizabeth Ombler, widow of testator, for her life, part of said estate is subject to a mortgage made to Thomas Wilson of the city of York, esq, and Mary Smith of York, spinster.
