Description

Short Title: (i) Bailey v Gould; (ii) Daintry v Barlow.

Plaintiff(s): (i) Martha Bailey, Elizabeth Bailey, William Bailey and Mary Bailey (infants) by Samuel Wardle their next friend; (ii) John Smyth Daintry, John Ryle.

Defendant(s): (i) Rowland Gould, Nathaniel Higginbotham, James White Powell, Henry Barlow (now deceased) and his wife Elizabeth, and Abraham Bailey; (ii) Henry Barlow and his wife Elizabeth, and others.

Depositions for: Defendants.

Subject of Depositions: The value etc and disposition of the real and personal estates and effects of the testator William Bailey; said estates including a copyhold estate in Sutton occupied by Mr Leigh, six freehold fields in Macclesfield, leasehold land in Macclesfield, freehold messuages etc in Pickford Street or Sunderland Street in Macclesfield occupied by Mr Thorp, cottage house in George Street, Macclesfield, occupied by George Gosling and Samuel Knight, warehouses in George Street occupied by Isaac Lomas, house and bakehouse in Sunderland Street occupied by Richard Carlton and James Metcalfe, cottage houses etc in Sunderland Street occupied by James Metcalf, William Knight and Peter Bower, factory and houses in Duke Street occupied by Peter Keefe, James Duncalf, S Pendleton, Thomas Ashness, Thomas Wadsworth, J Small, S Etchells and Mr Coldershaw, etc [two cases].
