Description

Short Title: Growcock v Smith.

Plaintiff(s): John Growcock and John Whitehead, Thomas Growcock, Mary Growcock and Anne Growcock (infants), by the said John Growcock, their next friend.

Defendant(s): Anne Smith, widow, Richard Pritchard Dowler, Elizabeth Pritchard Dowler, John Lightwood, Samuel Holmes.

Depositions for: Plaintiffs and defendants.

Subject of Depositions: The validity etc of the last will and testament of Elizabeth Dowler, the defendants' late mother; a bond given by testatrix to the testator Thomas Growcock; an indenture of release (dated 24 Oct 1764) made between James Dowler, surgeon, on the first part, Elizabeth Pritchard, spinster, on the second part, and Richard Adney, clerk, and George Anderton, saw-plater, on the third part, purporting to be a settlement made previous to the marriage of the said James Dowler and Elizabeth Pritchard.

County: Shropshire.
