Description

Short Title: Wedderburn v Nash.

Plaintiff(s): Alexander Wedderburne [Wedderburn] esq, now Lord Loughborough, formerly Attorney General, at the relation of the Reverend Thomas Durine, rector of Martley alias Marcley, Henry Gyles and John Pritchett, churchwardens, and James Yapp and Richard Fisher, overseers of the poor of the same parish.

Defendant(s): James Nash, clerk, Rowland Berkley, Robert Bromley, Edward Pauncefoot, George Tomkins, John Nash, John Yapp, John Prosser, James Squire Brownlow, Lord Bishop of Worcester, Thomas Lord Foley, Baron of Kidderminster, Edward Foley esq, Sir Edward Winnington, bart, Edward Winnington esq, Slade Nash, Thomas Smith, Henry Gyles.

Depositions for: Plaintiffs and Defendants.

Subject of Depositions: A free grammar school at Martley alias Marcley, founded for the teaching of Latin writing and accounts; alleged insufficiency of schoolmaster by reason of non-residence etc; neglect of the trust or charity estate for support of the school, the principal part of which is said to consist of a messuage etc in Martley, etc.
