Short Title: City of Bristol v Miles.
Plaintiff(s): The Mayor, Burgesses, and Commonalty of the City of Bristol.
Defendant(s): William Miles esq.
Depositions for: Plaintiffs and Defendant.
Subject of Depositions: The Port and City of Bristol; touching the value etc of the tolls or duties called the Town Dues or Town Duties and in the pleadings of this cause called the City Dues payable in the Port of Bristol; Charles Jones of the City of Bristol, gent, aged eighty seven years (the only deponent) states that the annual income of said dues has been from about five hundred to one thousand pounds, and that upon an average one year with another this may have amounted to five a six hundred pounds a year; discussing the effect on trade of the previous disputes with America.
