Description

Short Title: Pulteney v Walpole.

Plaintiff(s): William Pulteney esq.

Defendant(s): The Hon Thomas Walpole esq, Robert Ellison esq, The Hon Richard Walpole esq, William Alexander.

Subject of Depositions: The lease of an estate called Bacolet [otherwise Baillies Bacolet] in the island of Grenada in the West Indies, a brewhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland, and an estate called Blackhouse in Ayrshire, Scotland, assigned by the defendant Alexander and his brother Robert as security for the payment of money borrowed, etc; the firms of Messrs Douglas Heron & Co [Douglas, Heron and Company, more commonly known as the Ayr Bank], Glyn & Halifax [Vere, Glyn & Hallifax], Simmonds & Hankey, and Richard Walpole, Clare and Bourne, are mentioned.
