Description

Short Title: Bennett v Allenby.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Leigh Bennett, esq.

Defendant(s): Hinman Allenby, William Wrout, Charles Goodall, John Taylor, David Crapley, Rutter Read, William Greaves, clerk, and the president and governors of the hospital founded at the sole costs and expenses of Thomas Guy, esq.

Depositions for: Plaintiff and Defendants.

Subject of Depositions: The rectory impropriate, vicarage and parish of Sutton in Holland [Long Sutton, South Holland], Lincolnshire, and the lands in the occupation of the defendants belonging to Guy's Hospital, situated in the hamlets of Sutton St Mary, Sutton St Nicholas, etc within said parish, etc; tithes; the names and possessions of Elizabeth Hyde, widow of Sir Thomas Peyton, bart, and his wife Dame Bridget, and William Charles Farrell Skeffington, esq, heretofore rectors or impropriators, and Burgis Wallis, Thomas Hutchinson, Marmaduke Thompson, Robert Gregg and John Read, tenants of said hospital, and Augustine Wollaston, are mentioned.
