- 1760 Aug-1762 Jan: Royal Regiment of Welch Voluntiers, commanded by the Hon Lt Col John Vaughan; at Hilsea Barracks on its embarkation to North America, and at Basingstoke, Hampshire.
- 1794 July-1795 Dec: 94th Regiment of Foot, commanded by Lt Col H Hutchinson.
- 1806 Jan-1812 Dec: 94th Regiment of Foot, or Scotch Brigade; colonels: Francis Dundas (to 1809), James Lord Forbes (1809), and Rowland Hill (from 1809); includes returns from India (1806-1807: Trichinopoly, Vicravandy, and the garrison at Fort St George), at sea on board Baring (1807-1808), Jersey (1809), Portugal and Spain (1810-1812), and from garrisons in England and Scotland.
