- 1761 Mar to 1762 Feb: 76th Regiment of Foot; return for 1st Bn, commanded by Colonel William Rufane, Portsmouth, March 1761, and detachments (Captain Duer and Captain Ashe) at Hilsea and Chichester, July 1761 to February 1762.
- 1761 Apr: 70th Regiment of Foot; colonel: Cyrus Trapaud.
- 1778 May: 76th (John Macdonald's Highland) Regiment of Foot; colonel: Lord John Macdonnell of Lochgarry (Lord Macdonald).
- 1796 May: 76th Regiment of Foot; under Lumley Ward
- 1806 Mar to 1812 Dec: 76th (Hindoostan) Regiment of Foot under: Sir Thomas Musgrave; includes returns from Jersey (1807-1808), Corunna in Spain (1808), and on board the Lady Castlereagh, at sea.
