Incomplete list of contents of a book of charters, etc, dated Hen III-Henry IV, relating to the creation, possessions, etc of the Duchy of Lancaster: It is presumably a copy of the volume (together with its list of contents) in question, entitled Ducatus comitatusque palatini Lancastriae...illustratio..., said to have been compiled from the records in the Tower of London and at one time among the manuscripts of Sir Thomas Phillips, bart, is preserved in the Duchy of Lancaster office. From this it appears that the missing original wasa collection made for Sir Thomas Heneage, sometime joint keeper of those records, and from 1590-1595, chancellor of the Duchy
