Anthony Palmer, executor of John Palmer, his late father, v. William Carr. An award made by Sir Roger Manwood between John Carr and John Fenwyk, concerning the tithes of Eworth, whereby possession thereof was given to the said Carr, who claimed them under a lease from the queen, and a sum of money was to be paid by him to Fenwyck. Alleging that John Palmer, the plaintiff's father, lent this sum to the said Carr, and that the latter assigned to him his lease of the tithes as security for the repayment of the loan, and for the payment of arrears of rent due for the manors of Hedgley and Branton. Mentioning a sale of these manors by the said John Palmer to Sir Cuthbert Collingwood, kt. Northumb.
