Sir Gelly Mericke, kt, and others v. Hugh Ridge. Ground called Hathen Down alias Heven Down alias Heyne Down alias Heyndon, claimed by the plaintiffs under a conveyance of the farm of Weston made to them by Thomas Kerry, late farmer thereof to the queen,and by the defendant as parcel of the farm of Launsdowne, in the manor of Weston, which farm he alleges was assigned to him by Richard Chapman, to whom it had been leased by the prior and convent of Bath. Referring to a trial at the Somerset assizes in 35 Eliz., between Thomas Wodham and the defendant for the possession of a pasture, alleged by the latter to be parcel of the said Heyne Down. Som.
