John Nashe and Robert Jones, tenants of the queen's manor of Ombersley, v. Samuel Sandes, farmer of the said manor. Ground called Southfeildes, alleged to be parcel of the lord's demesnes of the said manor, and to be separate and enclosed from all commonfields there. Rabbit warrens. Alleging that the lords of the manor had right of free warren over the whole of the manor, as well upon the lords demesnes and wastes, as upon the copyhold and customary lands. Denying that anyone could kill rabbits upon the lord's wastes, without the licence of the lord or his keepers. Right of the tenants of the manor to erect pig-cotes upon the lord's wastes, and to cut wood there for that purpose. Mentioning Sir John Borne, kt, as late farmer of the said manor. Worcs.
