[Edmund Fortescue v. Richard Verney.] A debt due to the queen by Philip Basset, by reason of his office of general receivership of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Extent made to the queen's use of his manor of Torrington. Lease of the said manor to Gregory Wolmer, to the use of Bassett. Sale thereof by Wolmer, with the consent of Bassett, to William Carew, by whom it was again sold to Edmund Fortescue. Offer made by Richard Verney, to the Exchequer, to pay a higher rent for a lease of the said manor. Lease made to him; conditions thereof. Court kept by his assigns. Devon.
