Alleged intrusion by Ralph Waller, Henry Spilman, Erasmus Spilman, Thomas Wynd and Edmund Bastard, upon the free warren of Riseing, lying in the villages and parishes of Riseing, South Wotton, North Wotton, Congham, Grymeston and Bawsey, parcel of the lordship and manor of Riseing, which had belonged to Philip, earl of Arundel, and came to the queen's hands by reason of his attainder for treason. The above-mentioned persons deny that they had entered upon any part of the said warren: Bastard and Wynd assert that the lands upon which they had killed rabbits were parcels of their own freeholds, which adjoin the said warren; Waller that he had only killed rabbits in his manor of Rydon; and Erasmus and Henry Spilman allege that in their case, the land formed part of their mother Frances Spilman's manor of Congham. Alleged assault upon Thomas Lopham, jun, one of the queen's farmers of the said warren. Norf.
