Description

John Asheley v. William Beynham. Claim to the use of herbage in Parke Wood alias Boxley Parke. Lease granted by the queen, on 10 Jul 5 Eliz., to Alexander Parker, of the palace of Maydston, and of certain wood ground called Park Woodd alias Boxley Parke,and certain other things about Maydston and Boxley, Kent. Assignment of this lease to the late Sir Richard Sackvile, from whom it passed to Thomas Lord Buckhurst, his son, and from him to the defendant. A lease made by Sir Thomas Wyatt, father of the late Sir Thomas Wyatt, attainted of treason, to Thomas Vicarye, serjeant surgeon to Henry VIII, of certain lands in Boxley, in which it was covenanted that the said Thomas Vicarye and his assigns should have herbage for their horses and calves in the said Boxley Park. Kent.
