John Taverner, surveyor of the queen's woods by South Trent, v. Edmund Phetiplace, Alexander Phetiplace, Avice Lee, widow, and Edmund Lee. Woods in the honor of Ewelme, called Swincombe Wood, Wast Wood, Bigfrith, Black Wood, Hogtroughe, Chalk Wood, Buckslade and Chalisdene, leased by the queen to Thomas Knevet, and by him assigned to Sir Edmund Ashefelde. Timber trees reserved to the queen alleged to have been felled by the defendants. Oxon.
