Thomas Houghton, vicar of Kington v. Humphrey Underhill and James Boyes. The vicarage of Kington, parcel of the possessions of the dissolved priory of Kenilworthe, with the churchyard, garden and houses belonging thereto. Whether the priors of Kenilworthhad found a deacon to conduct the service there and had paid all charges due for the church to the bishop of Worcester? Whether they had always paid a yearly pension to the vicar of Kington and to the curate of Combroke, and had borne all tenths and subsidies charges upon the said vicarage? A lease, dated 3 Nov 26 Hen VIII, made by William Wall, then prior of Kenilworth, to Leonard Savage, amongst other things of the vicarage of Great Kington, Little Kington, and Combroke; a condition of the lease being that the farmer for the time being was to find a deacon to serve in the church of Great Kington and to pay all charges due in respect of the church. Assignment of this lease to the defendant Underhill. Whether he ought to repair the churches of Kington and Combroke? Warw.
