Short title: Holden v Southworth.
Plaintiffs: Thomas Holden.
Defendants: Sir John Southworthe, Adam Holden, Christopher Cronkshawe and others.
Documents: depositions concerning Bury and Haslingdsen, Lancashire. Map of lands in the parishes of Bury and Haslingden, Lancashire, showing place names, proprietors, cultivated and moor land, the River Irwell, streams, a mill, Haslingden church and other buildings, highways with human figures and animals: now filed at MR 1/1004. Created to illustrate the dispute between Thomas Holden, plaintiff, and Sir John Southworthe, Adam Holden, Christopher Cronkshawe and others, defendants. An endorsement states that it was 'brought in', presumably into court, at a date in 1576. An endorsement of 9 June 1581 states that it was also used in the suit between Thomas and Anne Gartside and Christopher Cronkshawe concerning lands in the same area, particularly a parcel called 'Typpett of Ugden'.
