Note (Additional information about the record)
- File 216/3 had become broken by the nineteenth century. Matter concerning a few deliveries is split between the parts, in all of which there is a larger amount of matter that cannot readily be identified with particular deliveries as well as matter arising from concurrent assize sessions. Parts two and three also contain some records from deliveries by Robert de Thorp and John Knyvet or by Thorpe and Meres in 39-40 Edw. III (1365-6). This matter may originally have been part of Thorp's file for 1360-65 (Just. Itin. 3/223/1) which was also recovered from writ miscellanea and from which some matter has certainly been lost. Unfortunately it is clear from both the rolls and files of the period 1350-1377 that the files of particular deliveries were put together haphazardly.
