County: Glos. Justices, Gaols, Nature: [Henry Spigurnel]; Gloucester, special, of Bristol men; Kalendar.

mm or rots: 1 On 16 and 20 Nov. 1313 commissions issued to Henry Spigurnel and others for the delivery of Bristol men in Gloucester castle gaol on Tuesday after Easter three weeks following (30 Apr. 1314): C.P.R. 1313-7, 444-5. This undated Kalendar is headed: `Names of prisoners of Bristol town existing in the gaol of Gloucester castle and received by the King's writ from Bartholomew de Badelesmere Keeper of the liberty of the town of Bristol'. Bartholomew was Keeper 1307-22 and these commissions are the only ones noticed in his time, so presumably this Kalendar comes from these sessions.
