Writ of certiorari , with return, concerning proceedings in Admiralty, in: Sampson v Curtis 6mmThe plaintiff in the action, brought before the Court of the Admiral of the South and West at Lostwithiel, alleged trespass by the taking of goods freighted from Plymouth to Lostwithiel, and taken from the ship at Lostwithiel 'within the high water mark'. This claim was countered by the defendant with an allegation that he had attached the goods by order of the maritime court of Lostwithiel, that is, of the Duchy of Cornwall, in an action of debt brought against Sampson; and by warrant of the court of Admiralty in a separate action. The record consists of transcripts of the pleadings, the depositions taken by commission on behalf of Sampson, and the writ of certiorari which summoned the record into Chancery., 15 Ric II
