1858-1897
Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum: purchase of further land: as to the power of Directors of Convict Prisons to hold lands. It appears that originally the lands were wrongly conveyed to the Directors and that the Prison Commissioners also had no power tohold land. Counsel suggested that the new purchase be left in the hands of the Commissioners of Works and Public Buildings.
